Some details from Rage.

• An engineering system to craft devices including sentry turrets and RC car bombs, if you have the blueprints and parts.
• Your health regenerates–a gift connected to your history.
• Races and missions are available from hub towns.
• Vehicular combat is a big part of racing, with power-ups and ammo placed around the courses.
• Weapon upgrades, such as a scope and aiming stabilisers for a crossbow.
• Alternate ammo types, including a crossbow bolt which allows you to briefly control victims before they explode.
• Stealth is an option in combat too.
• A gladiatorial game show named Mutant Bash TV offers big prize money.
• A car parts system allows boosts to areas such as acceleration, traction and suspension.
• Other car upgrades include bombs, a magnet to draw power-ups, tire shredders and EMP shields.
• Multiplayer modes are currently not finalised.
• One weapon is a three-tipped boomerang called the ‘wingstick,’ which will return.
• The PC version will offer higher resolutions, more anti-aliasing and faster texture page-in times, but the three versions are essentially the same.

Codemasters Community Manager Helios announced the long awaited release date for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

As promised, today we are pleased to announce that Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising will be shipping on October 6th in North America and releasing on October 8th through EPAC territories with a October 9th street date in the UK.

As revealed during E3, Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ will be a fully voiced massively multiplayer online roleplaying game. Watch our third Video Documentary where we explore how voice-over conversations deliver a deeper level of immersion and connection to the story and characters. Every playable character and every non-playable character in the game will be brought to life by voice actors – resulting in several thousand speaking roles and hundreds of thousands of recorded lines of dialogue!

15 minutes of Mafia 2 in-game video has found it’s way to the net. This game just looks better and better every time they release new material. I named Mafia 2 on my PC Games to Wait for – 2009 -list. Couple of games on it have since been released and they haven’t quite matched up to their hype but I’m very confident Mafia 2 will. Mafia 2 is currently due to be released “early 2010″.
