BioShock 2 Multiplayer Trailer
» 2009/09/17 by Shadess | In Games, Videos | | Tags: BioShock 2BioShock 2 promises to be both the sequel and the prequel of the original BioShock. Even though BioShock 2 expands the gaming experience of Rapture with the multiplayer mode, the story in the multiplayer actually starts a year before the events of the original game, during the civil war that took place on New Years Eve 1959.
As soon as we launch the multiplayer we will find out that the citizens of Rapture have been recruited by a company called Sinclair Solutions, a provider of Tonics and Plasmids in Rapture, a product testing lab that tries to take advantage of the economic conditions caused by the civil war to get ordinary citizens to test the plasmids and weapons to see what the most effective ones are for home security and safety. The players get to play the role of one of those citizens, taking part in those trials and showing SinClair Solutions how well their products are working.
The novelty of this sequel resides in the multiplayer mode itself but especially in details such as the Big Daddy suits. If you find a Big Daddy suit, put it on and you will get to play as the Big Daddy. Also there are two different states of the plasmids that you can use: you can have the regular plasmid or you can charge it up; do so and it will become more powerful.
On the other hand the maps in BioShock2 are inspired by the scenarios of the original; precisely because it precedes the story of BioShock, though they have been redesigned to make sure that it plays well from a multiplayer point of view.
For those who love team based modes, 2K Games made a multiplayer game type called ‘Civil war’ which is very similar to Team Death Match.
All in all, BioShock 2 seems to have all the requisites to enhance the original game by adding the acclaimed multiplayer mode and making sure this sequel is different enough to attract us.
